The Nature of Science

The Nature of Science unit we learned many different things about how the earth works. Natural Science consists of knowing the metric system and about accuracy and precision. The metric system is one of the highly used system of measuring worldwide, a universal measurement standard. It is a system based on the base units of ten and on the decimal system.

|| thousands || hundreds || tens || basic unit || tenths || hundreths || thousadths ||

|| 1000 || 100 || 10 || 1 || 0.1 || 0.01 || 0.001 ||

|| kilo- || hecto- ||deca- || Meter Gram Liter || deci- || centi- || milli- ||

Natural Science also involves precision and accuracy. Precision is how close the measurements of data are to each othe but are not close to the intended mark. While accuracy is different, accuracy is hwen you hit the intended mark.
